Adam Klausner is a corporate, real estate, and business lawyer with 30+ years experience in a wide array of fields, including hospitality, real estate development, entertainment, software, and manufacturing. Adam also represents non-profit organizations, including groups dedicated to the promotion of culture, music, education, sports, international development, and the environment.

He regularly advises individuals and companies on real estate and business matters, including corporate creation and governance, real estate acquisition and development, succession and estate planning, and the purchases and sales of homes and business.

    • Represented a science based service business through steady growth, from a small local operation to over 100 employees and multiple locations in the US and overseas, and ultimately acquisition by a Fortune 400 company.

    • Represented the Sultanate of Oman in the creation of corporate governance rules for the Royal Opera House Muscat in Muscat, Oman.

    • Represented a manufacturing startup through multiple expansions, acquisitions, and spinoffs, until acquisition by a private equity firm.

    • Represented an international NGO through startup, institution building, and grant sequences by the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations, including creation of international affiliates, and culminating in a large international, multi-city cultural event held in Sao Paulo, Salvador de Bahia, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

    • Represented an early ecommerce startup through rounds of investment and ultimately, acquisition by an established corporation.

  • Adam is a Senior Lecturer at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, where he teaches courses on entrepreneurship, real estate and the internet & ecommerce. He has developed a set of online courses in real estate law for eCornell, to be used on the Cornell campus and in a Certificate Program available to the public.

    Adam engages in real estate ownership, management, and occasional development, in Ithaca, NY.
